That is what we are planning to do here at Slievenamon Holistic Therapy over the weekend - Change Perspectives; create new opportunities; explore beyond our boundaries and discover what each of us is truly capable of. Mindscape (with Andy Spencer) is coming to Clonmel with 15 people here to find out something about themselves that they never knew and explore beyond the chinks in the cavern in which we each exist - begin to relish and enjoy the infinite possibilities that are out there.
Why do we try to compare ourselves to others all the time? It robs us of our own unique individuality, opinion and perspectives. As I sit here typing a full moon is rising - bright copper in colour, it is a wonderful sight to behold and in this moment it is quite beautiful. So why would I compare it to a moon seen before? Yes there may have been others that were as big / coppery but they were each in a different time and space; as such I intend to enjoy this one for being here 'now' when I want to look at a copper coloured full moon in a clear sky with snow on the mountains and stars in the sky just starting to appear.
I intend to be in the moment and be joyful, appreciate what I have, what I am doing and know that what I am endeavouring to do is for the highest good, is being done from the heart and ego is being parked at the door along with comparisons. With that in mind - there are still a few spaces on the BodyTalk Access course here on 14th Feb; time to park those comparisons and be in the moment, that joyful moment and enjoy being you. It is almost 3 years since I first did BodyTalk Access and I have to say that since then my life has been on a revised path. Physically I went to find a 'cure' for my back which had put me on the floor for 8 weeks and left me walking with a stick for another four or five (not a great look for someone well under 40). Yes, since then and after many BodyTalk treatments my back has improved. However, far more important than that, looking back over the past few years: I have not had a throat infection; my Chilblains have improved; migraines have decreased in frequency and ferocity; I am waking up refreshed; I generally feel a more balanced healthier individual.
So my challenge to you is - come and join us here on the 14th February and start putting yourself on the right track by learning the Access routine for yourself, a maintenance programme for health. 1st February - some say the start of spring the start of a new year of growth. It is almost the Chinese New Year, a little late this year 19th February but the year of the Sheep.
We associate spring with lambs and new arrivals and that is sort of how it has been here at Slievenamon Holistic Therapy getting things organised for a new venture or two in 2015. Getting things under way this week with Mindscape at the weekend, followed by BodyTalk Access on Valentines Day (click here to book your place: http://www.bodytalksystem.com/seminars/details.cfm?id=23996) I thought that setting up a new venture would be relatively straight forward: business name, website, cards and off we go. Oh the joys of being enthusiastic and naive: I am quickly having to learn and go back to the drawing boards, I am ever thankful for the help and guidance that I have been given along the way. So what gets posted here is going to be a mix of business set up information, little tips to help you maintain your health and details about courses, study days, information evenings being held here. So what is Imbloc? Well it is a quarter day between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. Old traditions are associated with St Brigid which quite likely predate the Christian ones and possibly had associations with early pagan goddesses such as the divine hag (Cailleach) or maybe even the Sheela Ni Gig. It was said that if the weather was find on Imbloc then the Cailleach could go out and collect more firewood to see her through the winter, ie winter was going to drag on a little longer but if it was bad weather then she would not go out for wood and winter would end sooner. Let's wait and see what happens it is a glorious sunny day so far here but either way using BodyTalk Access everyday to help ward off colds and 'flu, keep energy levels up and stress levels down, what more could one ask for? Look forward to seeing you here 14th February to learn the techniques for yourself, click here to book your place: http://www.bodytalksystem.com/seminars/details.cfm?id=23996 |
